Formed in 1988, Junction 23 Truckstop is conveniently located just 100 metres away from the M1 traffic island at Junction 23. From HGV drivers, coaches and members of the general public, J23 truckstop has been a safe and reliable stop for nearly 40 years, for all journey goers to take a well-deserved break. Whether you’re stopping for a quick refuel or an overnight rest, J23 provides a clean, safe, and welcoming environment built with drivers in mind.
Following our latest parking redevelopments, we now have 280 parking spaces for heavy good vehicles with 24/7 ANPR-secured access, and plenty of additional car parking spaces for those visiting our café, restaurant and bar. Serving delicious homemade food using local ingredients, it is definitely worth a visit!
J23 Lorry Park offers everything professional drivers need, all in one secure and friendly location. In addition to automated access to diesel 24-hours a day, we offer an excellent range of on-site facilities including a café, restaurant and licensed bar. Additionally, we have a forecourt shop, a laundrette, a truck washing bay, hot and cold food and drinks available 24/7, secure overnight parking, satellite TV including TNT Sports, and modern toilets and showers.

Our parking facilities, secured inside a fully fenced compound with 24/7 CCTV, can cater for the largest vehicles on the road; offering drivers a comfortable and safe stay. As a result of our high standards in regard to security, we were proudly awarded the Park Mark Freight accreditation in 2025. With our prime location, we are the closest secure certified Truckstop to East Midlands Gateway and East Midlands Airport. Situated less than 7 miles away, we can offer the most convenient and safe location to take a break.
As a Group, we have an increased focus on looking after the environment, which is reflected here at J23 truckstop. Our solar panels fitted on the café and shop roof supply a proportion of the power required on site, and the water for the truck wash is sourced from a borehole that we created in order to reduce our fresh water usage.
